LM_logoLewis-Manning Hospice is Poole’s voluntary hospice offering free specialist palliative nursing care to around 700 local people each year living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. We are a registered charity, regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission.

What we do

The hospice promotes acceptance, hope and peace of mind in a safe and calming environment, helping people live well through their illness and beyond.

It aims to ensure that local people are given access to the support they may need to help them cope with their illness and the changes it may bring.

The hospice moved into a brand new state of the art facility in 2012 at Crichel Mount Road in Lilliput and benefits from stunning views of Poole Harbour. The new building has 15 en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor, all with their own private terrace. The bedrooms are opening on a phased basis.

Lewis-Manning has a range of services run by its team of palliative care nurses, which include Day Hospice (specialist nursing care, physiotherapy, creative arts and complementary therapy), Lymphoedema Clinic, Better Breathing Clinic and Physiotherapy Clinic.
