Established in 1965, Margaret Green Animal Rescue is the oldest and largest animal rescue charity founded in Dorset.

Every year Margaret Green Animal Rescue cares for over 1,200 animals, many of which have been abandoned, unwanted and ill-treated, and rehome them to loving owners. We have centres in Devon and Dorset and always have a large variety of animals that are looking for new, loving homes. These include dogs, cats, rabbits, donkeys, goats and pigs, to name just a few.

We receive no government funding and rely heavily on your support to continue to carry out our work.

Every penny of every pound donated to us goes towards animal welfare.

We firmly believe that having an animal in your life is not only a privilege but is hugely rewarding. We offer help and support to both people and their pets and we hope that you can help us too, by re-homing an animal, making a donation to our charity, coming to our Visitor Centre or becoming a volunteer.
